Dec 05, 2014· We use an old M&W dyno. They were the standard in all the AG shops. If I were going to buy one now, I would look into the generator type dynos. No water needed for cooling and more accurate. Its hard on the old school larger dynos to dyno the small compacts. A small turn of the wheel can really jump the HP.

I have a P-400A and it will test 125 HP at 535 pto rpm and 236 HP at 1000 pto rpm and if you use the direct drive it just goes by PSI at a given RPM and my wheel chart shows at the MAX. PSI of 2000 and the max. RPM of 1200 it will point to 290 HP and the chart quits at 300 HP.
