In this work, the diverse matrix effects caused by the nickel alloy and copper on the determination of bismuth, selenium and tellurium by FIAS-HGAAS, were investigated. For nickel-based alloys, the analytes were successfully determined without being separated from the alloy matrix while the separation of analytes from copper was mandatory.
